I just finished Julie Klausner’s I Don’t Care About Your Band, and while I didn’t totally love the book, there was one observation that really resonated with me.
“…sometimes I think women just want to be the very thing they think they want to sleep with.”
This is a really important lesson that I realized on my own three or four years ago, and one that I think more women would benefit from learning earlier on in their dating lives. That you don’t have to latch on to someone successful or creative to feel successful or creative. You can just BE successful or creative.
The other lesson I learned around the same time was not to drink an entire bottle of champagne on my own. It was a educational time in my life.
