tumblr meetup: what i've learned...
Each month Esquire has an awesome column, What I’ve Learned, where famous people share anecdotes of what they’ve learned throughout their lives. In a blatant copy of their super idea lets all share THREE things we learned last night.
1. Next Tumblr meetup, I need to create and bring flashcards with pictures of people and their Tumblr names/real names. I kept looking at people trying to figure out who they were, and then when they glanced my way, I would just run.
2. I am awkward! Wow I am awkward. I need to be better at starting conversations.
2a. I did not have anything to be awkward about. Everyone I met and talked to (David, Zach, Chris, Kate, Kevin) was super nice and awesome.
3. I should have chosen a more unique identity on Tumblr. It’s easier to recognize ‘Soup’ or ‘Fat Manatee’ than one of the 18 million Sarahs.
