While I absolutely stand by Sean Penn’s Best Actor win, an extremely large part of me would have liked to see ABC deal with a Mickey Rourke acceptance speech. This one, from the Independent Spirit Awards yesterday, is incredible.
Is anyone else watching this offensively produced In Memorium portion of The Oscas right now? Why are we squinting to read Sydney Pollock’s name because a camera is flying past it instead of presenting the entire segment in screen? Terrible.
Good news for people who like videogames and CollegeHumor: you can now change your Xbox Live gamer picture to either Jake, Amir, or Sarah. The pictures are free and took me a while to find becuase they’re under “M” (as in MTV’s See You Sunday, the block we are a part of). Unfortunately I was left out of this promotional effort, though you can also get the How’s Your News cast.
I never noticed before I changed my avatar to Sarah, but you basically can’t play a game without seeing your gamer picture at least four or five times. It’s at the top of nearly every menu.
I have never been more honored.
This is what I wished I dressed like. Frooch, consider dressing better number one on MY list of goals for 2009. And Isla Fisher, give me some of your money so I can emulate you. Thxxxx.

Yay! Here’s a parody of “If I Were a Boy” I wrote with Sarah, called “If I Were a Bro.” CH-writer extraordinaire, Jason Michaels, emailed us with the idea.
Now, I really, really like this one. The very talented Eliza Skinner did the fantastic vocals, Jesse Novak laid down the track, Sarah is amazing as a douche-y guy, the Josh/Corey 1-2 punch made the video look so beautiful, and, finally, Jon was a wonderful kisser.
Please Digg it if you like it.
If I could, I would shoot a music video every single day. This was so fun and the video looks fantastic. And Streeter’s damn good himself, might I add.
Its the first official photo of Tom Haverford, my character from Parks and Recreation!
Looking spiffy, Aziz! Also, Tom Haverford - most Indian name ever?

You guys! It’s finally tonight. And since all the boys are getting sappy about it, I figure I should do a bit of the same. I’ve been at CH since I graduated in 2005, when the company clocked in around a dozen total employees, and the creative department consisted of just Ricky, Streeter, Jeff, Amir, Ethan and myself, making each other laugh in what should have been the bedroom of a Tribeca apartment. And now, less than four years later, we’ve built up this brand and we work with tons of incredibly talented people and we’re television writers and actors and our show is premiering tonight on MTV. Holy. Crap.
I’ve loved writing and acting for as long as I can remember, and the ability to make a career of these passions is an absolute gift. I guess the only thing left to say is, I hope everyone likes it! If you do, amazing. If not, blame Creighton DeSimone. That guy sucks.
